Hello! My name is Hester - I’m a filmmaker living in Bristol.

Raised in a family of artists in Somerset, gleaning new ideas and telling stories has been a lifelong interest.

With an academic background in Art History and Documentary Screen Production, I have experience working as a director, AD, camera operator and editor.

At the forefront of my practice is harnessing imaginative ideas and giving them structure, to create heartfelt, impactful stories: marrying poetry and reason, truth and song.

I fell in love with filmmaking as it gives me the opportunity to use both my creative brain and my linear, rational brain. I believe the most effective films marry the two.

The arts, community building and sustainability are my primary focus.

I want my storytelling to ignite positive change, joy and connection.
